Shah Rukh Khan, Taapse Pannu Film Dunki Gets UA Certificate From Censor Board & Cleared With Mi

 

New Delhi: Rajkummar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ is a week away from release and fans cannot stop brimming with excitement. Shah Rukh Khan’s third release this year after super successful films like ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’ has a lot of expectations when it comes to breaking box office recordss. ‘Dunki’ will be released on December 21, 2023.

A week ahead of its release, the film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Dunki has received a U/A certificate from the film.

The approved runtime of the film ‘Dunki’ is set at 2 hours and 41 minutes( 161 minutes).

As per a Bollywood Hungama report, the suggested cuts by CBFC are limited. As per their report, the board suggested an inclusion of anti-smoking health spots at the film’s beginning and just before the start of the second half. Also, a word in the opening scene of the film has been asked to be changed to ‘immigrants’.

An important scene in the film will also have a disclaimer that reads, “Suicide is not a solution to any problems.”

The filmmakers gave documentary evidence for the stats and facts that have been mentioned in the film.

‘Dunki’ stars Taapsee Pannu in the female lead while Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Anil Grover, Vikram Kochhar and others are also part of the film. Gauri Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Jyoti Deshpande have produced the film.

‘Dunki’ revolves around the issue of illegal migration that many in North India, especially from Punjab do, to get a better social position in their life and make an earning for themselves.

‘Dunki’ also marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first collaboration with Rajkummar Hirani.

‘Dunki’ will be released in theatres on December 21, 2023. The film will clash at the box office with Prabhas-starrer ‘Sala
