India women hammer England to register biggest-ever victory in women’s Test INDW vs ENGW:

Deepti Sharma produced a match-winning performance to help India beat England by 347 runs and register the biggest-ever victory in the women’s Test. India bowled out England for 131 in the morning session of Day 3 to register their first-ever win over England women’s in a home Test.

After choosing to bat first on a good batting pitch, the Indian batsmen made valuable contributions on the opening day, propelling the hosts to a total exceeding 400. While no centuries were scored, there were a couple of century partnerships. In response, England Women struggled against the Indian bowlers, especially Deepti Sharma, who delivered an outstanding spell, securing a five-wicket haul. Thanks to her brilliance, India gained a substantial 292-run lead. Although there was an opportunity to enforce the follow-on, Harmanpreet decided against it. Instead, India Women added crucial runs on Day 2, setting a challenging target of 479.

Similar to the first innings, the England batters displayed little resilience in the second innings. Pooja Vastrakar claimed three wickets, and Deepti Sharma took a four-wicket haul, leaving the England batters without answers. Deepti not only excelled with the ball but also contributed significantly with the bat, scoring 87 runs. Her outstanding all-round performance included 9 wickets in the match. The Indian team is jubilant with the victory, already posing for photographs on the sidelines.
