“I think we’re all moved by the emotion of the India-Pakistan game because we have a lot of history. Pakistan have got some really fiery bowlers. I think we got a stronger batting side. I’m definitely looking at Mohammed Amir vs Rohit because he likes to get the ball full and then Shaheen Afridi against Virat. I think these are going to be some big match ups. But at the end of the day, you have to use your mind. You have to play according to the situation and I feel the team which plays according to the situation and keeps the emotion back will definitely win this game,” said Yuvraj in a video released by ICC.

Amir’s dominance over Rohit in T20Is

Notably, Amir has dismissed Rohit thrice in international cricket out of eight meetings. In ODIs, the India captain averages 43 against the Pak seamer with a strike rate of 60.6. However, in T20Is Amir has dominated Rohit dismissing him in both the meetings between the two players giving away just one run from seven balls.

On the other hand, Shaheen has dismissed Kohli three times out of the five meetings between the two teams. However, the star India batter has also scored good amount of runs against the Pakistan seamer having an average of 34 and a strike rate of 154.5.

Given India’s historic weakness against the left-arm seamers, Amir and Afridi will look to come hard at Indian batters in the upcoming fixture as they’re desperate for a win after losing their opening game against the USA.
