Virat Kohli’s kind gestures never fail to impress, as he always obliges fans’ requests. The star batter recently returned from London after spending much-needed family time with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and children, Vamika and Akaay Kohli. He arrived in Chennai and joined the Indian team for a week-long camp at the MA Chidambaram Stadium ahead of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Fans left no stone unturned to catch a glimpse of Kohli, who returned to the country after celebrating India’s T20 World Cup triumph in July.
One fan was lucky enough not just to see Kohli but also to get his autograph at the Indian team’s hotel in Chennai. Kohli kindly signed a poster featuring the iconic image of the Indian team lifting the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy, delighting the fan with his gesture. India’s net bowlers also seized the opportunity, clicking pictures with the 35-year-old. Kohli was all smiles as he posed alongside the net bowlers chosen to bowl in the nets at Chepauk. In another humble act, Kohli donated his signed jersey and cap to the ‘Go Dharmic Auction’ at the Mumbai Gala.

India’s speedster Akash Deep was over the moon after receiving a bat from Kohli. Both Kohli and Deep are currently part of the Indian squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. They also previously shared the dressing room for RCB in the IPL before reuniting in the Indian team. Kohli hit the nets on Monday as Team India engaged in an intense training session before the Test series. As usual, Kohli was among the first to arrive at the nets alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. He faced Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin during his batting practice.
Kohli’s last Test appearance for India was back in early January during the Test series between India and South Africa. After that, he missed the England Test series due to the birth of his and Anushka’s second child, Akaay.
The opening Test between India and Bangladesh is scheduled to get underway on Thursday, September 19, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
