The defending World Test Champions are all set after a terrific performance on Day 1. The top batters have done their part, especially the pocket dynamo, David Warner, who scored 164 runs in 211 deliveries, taking advantage of home conditions. The situation is totally under the control of the Aussies, as at the post-match interview on Day 1, the skipper, Pat Cummins, stated that they would need 100 or 150 more runs on Day 2 for his bowlers to bowl with. It will be all in the hands of Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey, and the skipper, Pat Cummins, to stretch the score as much as they can.
