NCP Maharashtra elections, name Anil Deshmukh’s son Salil as candidate from Ketol in fourth list

The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawer) on Monday announced its fourth list of seven candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections.

The party has fielded Salil Deshmukh, son of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, from Nagpur’s Kapoor Assembly constituency. The seat has been represented by Anil Deshmukh since 1995. Senior officials are candidates.

The other names are Prabhakar Ghadge from Man, Vaibhav Patel from Kanpur, Arena Pisa from Wai, Sharad Mend from Pusan, Sandeep Bides from Sind Khadar and Ramesh Throat from Daunt constituency. Deshmukh, who served as a state minister in the Udara Thackeray-led Mahi Vikash Agadir government, was arrested in 2021 by the CBI in a corruption case filed against him Permission granted after 2021
