The Apple Watch, known for its comprehensive health-tracking features beyond basic metrics like steps, sleep, and blood oxygen levels, proved its value once again when its ECG (electrocardiogram) function detected atrial fibrillation in a user. This alert led the individual to seek immediate medical care.
Nikias Molina shared the story on X, stating that his Apple Watch Series 10 identified his grandmother’s irregular heartbeat. He shared a picture of the watch alert and wrote, “My Apple Watch Series 10 detected my grandmother’s atrial fibrillation today using the ECG feature. She’s now at the hospital and receiving the care she needs. I still can’t believe it.”
